The following terms and conditions are in place to book with KTClimb and Mountaineering. Participants and groups refers to anyone who has made a booking by either paying a deposit or the full amount directly to KTClimb and Mountaineering via the Website, Paypal or Invoice (bank transfer). 
Where a booking is made on behalf of others, the group’s acceptance of these terms and conditions is given through the booking organiser.
Qualifications and insurance
All activities are conducted by Katie Mackay or staff who have been trained and assessed according to industry standards to lead those activities in the environment participants are taken into. This includes being current and up to date with continues personal development. 
KTClimb and Mountaineering holds public liability, professional indemnity and employers’ liability insurance. 
Staff
In some circumstances other staff may be brought in on courses for their experience and expertise, or due to a change of circumstances. We reserve the right to do this without notifying participants.
Risk
The activities and environment KTClimb and Mountaineering operate in have inherent risk including of serious injury and death. 
KTClimb and Mountaineering will perform risk assessments to mitigate this risk but cannot eliminate it. 
Participation Statement
KTClimb and Mountaineering we take every care to keep you safe but we also along with the BMC recognise that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions. Parents and young participants should be aware that climbing, hill walking and mountaineering are activities with danger of personal injury or death. Parents and participants of these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. 
Medical Declarations
 It is your responsibility to declare any pre-existing medical condition or injury before the start. If any medical conditions develop during your activity it is your responsibility to inform us. 
Working with Under 18s 
 KTClimb and Mountaineering can only work with under 18s if they are accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
Decision making and venues
KTClimb and Mountaineering Instructors will make the decisions on venue choice. They may also adapt the day in order to make it safer. Their decision is final, it is made on safety grounds and the needs of the group and takes in various factors. It may mean that the objective of the day or course change. The leader, instructor or guide will choose a venue which best achieves the aims of the individual or group with the given weather and conditions. This may not be the activity or place which was envisaged, or advertised. It may be an indoor climbing wall or a low level option or a skills based option. Any additional costs, such as climbing wall entry are met by participants.
KitA kit list is provided to all participants. If a participant is not deemed to be adequately equipped then the activity may have to be modified or the cost of the purchase of extra kit or kit hire met by the participant. Some kit is available to borrow, get in touch early if there is anything you need to borrow from the kit list. 
Personal losses or damage to kit are not covered.Should any loss or damage of kit or equipment owned by the leader, instructor or guide occur due to negligence or lack of care we may seek to recover the cost from either the participant or group. It is advised that you seek out your own insurance to cover potential losses or damages if necessary. 
Payment
Full payment is required to make a booking and all payments must be made in advance. In special circumstances a minimum of a prior agreed deposit may be agreed to secure the dates or a course place. This is usually 50% of the total course cost. Full payment is required a minimum of 4 weeks before the start date. 
Cancellation Policy
If KTClimb and Mountaineering is required to cancel a course, participants with be notified immediately and will be offered the choice of a reschedule or a full refund.
 In the event of a group course dropping below minimum numbers, we reserve the right to cancel the course and would offer the choice of a reschedule or a full refund. We would endeavour to notify you as soon as possible.
KTClimb and Mountaineering is not responsible for any incidental costs of cancellation, such as travel and accommodation. If is recommended that participants take out insurance and/or make refundable bookings.
If you as a participant need to cancel you must inform us as soon as possible. Participant cancellations up to 4 weeks before the course will receive a full refund (minus any administration fees and booking fees (usually £5 if booking on the website). Between four and two weeks before the course a 50% refund; less than two weeks before the course date no refund. If the course is full and a replacement is found or someone from a reserve list takes the place a full refund will be given (minus booking fees). We recommend taking insurance to cover unforeseen events like illness. 
VouchersThe recipient of the voucher is responsible for booking.Bookings through a voucher is subject to availability.
